NumericInputBox.DisplayedFormatProperties

These properties define how the entered number is to be formatted.

Public Property Name Description

BlankZero

Type: Boolean

If this value is True, zero values are displayed as an empty field.

Format

Type: NIBFORMAT - an Enum

Defines which formatting is to be applied to the value.

The three options are:

  • General – Uses the "G" format string
  • Custom – Uses the CustomNumberFormat string
  • None – Displayed as entered

CustomNumberFormat

Type: String

The custom format string should follow the guidelines for format strings as defined by Microsoft.

FormattingCulture

Type: NIBCulturePreference - an Enum

  • Application - Use the culture specified by Thread.CurrentCulture
  • Invariant
  • Specify - Use the Culture selected for in SpecifiedCulture Property

The culture determines which characters are used for the decimal mark and the thousands separator and other culture specific formating such as the currency symbol.

SpecifiedCulture

Type: System.Globalization.CultureInfo

The selected culture may not be one of the neutral cultures such as "English"; it must be specific such as "English (United States)". This culture will be used for formatting if "Specify" is selected in FormattingCulture.

UseAlternativeColorsForNegative

Type: Boolean

Negative values may be displayed with a specified Foreground and Background color. Select "True" to enable this feature.

NegativeForegroundColor

Type: System.Drawing.Color

If UseAlternativeColorsForNegative is True, the selected color will be used as the Foreground color for negative values.

NegativeBackgroundColor

Type: System.Drawing.Color

If UseAlternativeColorsForNegative is True, the selected color will be used as the Background color for negative values.
